In GI PLAST’s product range different types of material and finishes are available, here below the most requested:
POLYCARBONATE: a material with optimal transparency and high performances, being adaptable to the use in a very great working temperature range, and being of outstanding mechanical properties and high moldability.
Ideal for indoor and outdoor applications, thanks to LONGLIFEProtection, which prevents the profile to be affected either optically or mechanically by UV-Rays, granting its use and finish for 10 years.
An esthetic innovation with great success in the LONGLIFE technology is the MATT LED CONTROL, which ensures besides the protective characteristics, a homogenous diffusion of the Light: ideal performance, especially for LED-lamps, since Hot-Spots are made invisible.

Finishes like TRANSPARENT, OPAL, COLORED, STRIPED, EMBOSSED, MICROPRISMATIC and PISMATIC can be combined.
In home-based applications, GI PLAST uses special ANTISTATIC POLYCARBONATE GRADES to prevent dust to cumulate on profiles.
For the automotive sector, UL94 V-0 POLYCARBONATE GRADES are used, in conformity to the most requested certificates for Fire and Smoke: DIN 5510-2, NF-F 16-101, NF-P 92501, UNI-CEI 11170 and EN 45545.
PMMA: a material with high optical performances, used in applications involving highest transparency and great diffusing properties.
Using LED CONTROL colors, great performances in LED Lighting are ensured, like the invisibility of Spots and an excellent transmissiondiffusion ratio.
PMMA, which is actually a fragile material, can be reinforced with HIGH-IMPACT resistant material, enlarging the possibilities of use in the most various sectors.
Also for this material, GI PLAST offers finishes like TRANSPARENT, OPAL, COLORED, STRIPED, ICROPRISMATIC, PRISMATIC, MATT.
PMMA is a UV-resistant material, so no further protections are required.

OPAL COLORS
The experience in the lighting business and the knowledge of all newgeneration illumination systems have allowed to develop special colors and satin-finishes, to obtain the highest possible result from every type of LED-Lamp.
Thanks to the blend of different materials diffusion effects are obtained, that also result in high transparency, completely hiding the LED-Spots.
DIFFUSING OPAL: a warm color with a strong matt layer for the highest performance in diffusion.
